The band were formed by Steve Marriott and Peter Frampton in 1969 and also featured former Spooky Tooth bassist Greg Ridley and Jerry Shirley on drums. Humble Pie is celebrating the 50 th Anniversary of the band’s seminal studio album Smokin’.In 2017, Ume released The A&M Vinyl Boxset 19701975 collecting the band’s key A&M era albums including Smokin’ for the first time together in a limited-edition set. Their third album, the first with Clemson, is unquestionably their greatest with Steve Marriott's soulful wail totally unleashed. Early seventies rock ‘super group’ Humble Pie see new vinyl editions of all their A&M albums collected in the appropriately named The A&M Vinyl Box Set 1970-1975. And Humble Pie grew a whole lot more raucous, more freewheeling and downright greasy. When Peter Frampton left Humble Pie, the band he co-founded, the group replaced him with fireball guitarist Clem Clemson.
